Popa Chubby, de son vrai nom Ted Horowitz, est un chanteur et guitariste de blues et de rock new-yorkais. Originaire du Bronx à New York, son style agressif est influencé par Willie Dixon ainsi que Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Randy Rhoads, Albert King ou encore Danny Gatton créant ainsi une synthèse Blues, Rock, Funk, Pop très personnelle mais transpirant le blues new-yorkais.
Personnage haut en couleurs et fort en rondeurs, Popa Chubby était
prédestiné à une carrière de catcheur. Mais son
ennemi juré à lui étant la morosité, tous les soirs, Popa Chubby
monte sur scène, armé d’une guitare, comme d’autres grimpent sur le
ring. Le combat n’est pas truqué et les riffs sont réels. Du sang, de la
sueur et des larmes.
